Modern Asian Landscaping - Brian Higley

So I spent all weekend ripping up the yard, again. So you guessed it more modern landscaping with some Asian flare. Brian Higley has some nice modern landscaping in his body of work. More after the jump.

My designs are contemporary in nature. I feel that a simple approach is usually best, and leads to a more pleasing and beautiful design, and also helps the project to be more functional, coherent, and cost effective.
I believe that the landscape should be strongly integrated with existing and proposed architecture. Whenever possible they must be thought out together. A whole host of landscape elements are carefully considered, and arranged in a way that ultimately shapes the overall “floor plan” of a site.

Modern Retail Interiors - Wonderwall

Very Nice body of work by Wonderwall. I really like the Bape store in Harajuku, Tokyo. More after the jump.

For the Bape store, after discussions with Nigo, we decided to create a store that felt like a town within a building with an American diner flair. However, for the top floor, a sense of playfulness was added with a colonial style resort inspired space.

What We Believe

Design helps create brand ideas that live in hearts and minds. Engaging, honest, inspiring, exciting—design emotionally connects brands with people. The best brands are Living Brands, brands that take risks, incite movements, and adapt and improve based on collaborative strategy, insight, and intelligence. Design is diverse, transcending advertising by delivering integration from product conception to point of sale to user experience. Distinctive design gives a brand the unique presence and expression, making it inviting and memorable. Design distinction creates desire.

Modern Home - Architect David Salmela

From the StarTribune comes a very cool home. More pics and links after the jump.

A pair of silvery cubes floating atop a base of black concrete might sound out of place in the stately, leafy enclave of Deephaven.

But architect David Salmela and homeowner/builder Kevin Streeter think their collaboration couldn’t be a more natural fit for its woodsy setting.

“Even though it’s bold, it doesn’t shout at you; it nestles in the trees,” Salmela said. “It’s not a barking dog. It’s a resting, very gentle animal.”
