Modern Design - Claesson Koivisto Rune

Claesson Koivisto Rune is a multi-disciplinary body of three designers/architects. Their work encompasses architecture, interiors, exhibitions, set design, textiles and all types of products. Modern Art - Warren Dykeman

Very cool work by Warren Dykeman. More pics and link after the jump

Warren lives and works in Seattle. In 1995 he received a BFA from Western Washington University with an emphasis on painting and graphic art. The paintings and drawings are combinations of images from sketch books and lettering painted from found or heard words. He has a fascination with merging industrial textures, illustration, street art and commercial art. Warren has shown recently at BLVD gallery in Seattle and BLK MRKT in Los Angeles.

Modern Wallpaper or Modern Art? - Nama Rococo

With all of the hype and talk about wallpaper, one stands out in my mind. Nama Rococo’s studio obviously creates wallpaper but can you see it as Art. The cool thing about their wallpaper is the processes. Each sheet is hand screened. Frame them and hang them on the wall. I personally want to do a couple of Sixty-Eight Mellow Orange against a slate gray wall. More pics and link after the jump

Modern Architecture - Price Harrison Architect and Associates

Price Harrison earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Fine Arts at Vanderbilt University in 1984. He studied architecture at Yale University where he earned a Master’s Degree. In 1987 he began an apprenticeship in New York with the late Paul Rudolph. After studying with Mr. Rudolph, Harrison went on to work with Richard Meier and Partners, Pei Cobb Freed, and George Ranalli.
