What wouldn’t I put in that bowl! It’d be great in september with all the peaches my peach tree provides, or I’m sure my wife would love to put some fabric swatches in it. It’s lovely.

apricots looks yummy in this bowl

Vikond: Jun 10 09 at 11:04 am

Just wanted to congratulate you, the redesign looks a lot better than the old design. You have a great blog!!

* I blog from Spain, so I guess I won’t be able to win the Alessi bowl :(

Delikatissen: Jun 10 09 at 12:06 pm

Delikatissen, thanks so much for the kind words. You could win, If you had a friend in the states we could ship it to.

Tyler: Jun 10 09 at 12:16 pm

I think it would suit my ever-growing collection of garlics, onions, and shallots.

Ed Smith: Jun 10 09 at 5:26 pm

I think it would serve as a part-time fruit bowl, part-time “hey look at me, I’m the coolest bowl ever and I don’t need fruit to validate my existence” bowl. :D

P.S. I always thought your old layout was great, but your new layout is just spectacular! Love it!

CapreeK: Jun 10 09 at 7:37 pm

NOTHING! Looks like a sculpture, I’d put it behind my glass kitchen cabinet to show it off!

Sunshine Raye: Jun 10 09 at 9:59 pm

Love the new site…and REALLY appreciate not having to jump in google reader…much more user friendly! As for the gorgeous bowl…since it reminds me of coral, I would put my coral and sea urchin shell collection in it….

ModFruGal: Jun 11 09 at 8:05 am

A bunch of used baseballs, spray painted white, of course. Or maybe black.

troy.: Jun 11 09 at 8:16 am

Lemons. Definitely.

Nicole: Jun 11 09 at 10:42 am

CapreeK and ModFruGal, I am glad you like the new design. Thanks for the kind words.

Tyler: Jun 11 09 at 10:47 am

I have no idea what I’d put in there, but if I win I’ll let you know!

Heather: Jun 11 09 at 10:55 am

Would it be considered an unfair advantage if I admit to owning the bowl in chrome? If so, then I admit nothing. If not, I’d center it on an all white 42″ top circle table and put colorful gum balls in it!
ps- I like the site overhaul nicely, done!

Jules: Jun 11 09 at 11:24 am

I don’t know what I would put into it. but it would go great in my kitchen, so probably apples and peaches from my yard.

Janna: Jun 11 09 at 11:31 am

lemons. . .limes. . .avocados. . .books. . .candle. . .wine. . my headphones/other cable equipment used for my instruments (to name a few options).

not all at the same time of course ;)

Ali: Jun 11 09 at 11:45 am

I would use it for the multicolored chocolate truffles the YM are always eating in my office.

Great site Tyler

Dan: Jun 11 09 at 12:22 pm

I have a collection of white spheres (all shapes, materials, and sizes) that I have accumulated during my travels. A large marble one from Italy, several ceramics from Nepal and Tibet, agate from my hometown rock museum, etc…

I love the idea of the intricacy of the bowl against the monochromatic simplicity of my spheres!

Alisha: Jun 11 09 at 1:58 pm

Yarn. I just started knitting.

Kimberly Fetrow: Jun 11 09 at 4:32 pm

probably green apples, or lemons, or limes..

k: Jun 11 09 at 6:02 pm

Ok…cool site!! I’m sure I could think of something really cool (like the white spheres above) to put in this bowl, but I’m thinking our plain white napkins on top of our new black table would work just fine. I’m pretty sure I’m in love with said bowl so I really hope you randomly pick me!! :D

Tamara Wallace: Jun 11 09 at 6:34 pm

Great bowl! My favorite color is red and it would look fabulous with Hershey Kisses strategically placed so they wouldn’t fall through the cracks. If it isn’t chocolate, it just isn’t right!

Sandi Kaiser: Jun 11 09 at 7:55 pm

I definitely think it would make a great fruit bowl. Love the peaches you have in the picture…lemons…limes…green apples…etc. Site looks great, love the improvements.

Liz: Jun 11 09 at 9:51 pm

I like it by itself and it would be the perfect centerpeice for my coffee table. I been looking for something red to put there!Maybe someday I would consider something in it but not until my children would be old enough not to touch it. fingers crossed!!

Love the site by the way!

Julie Trevinoq: Jun 11 09 at 10:19 pm

vintage barbie heads with various up-do’s. If I win, I will send you a picture for sure.

David Nolan: Jun 12 09 at 2:28 pm

David, that is best idea yet!

Tyler: Jun 12 09 at 2:41 pm

Folded socks. Different colored ones …
Paul Smith!

Alberto: Jun 12 09 at 2:53 pm

I was going to say rolled up socks, but someone else already said socks. I also thought white and pink nerf balls, but I don’t have any, so probably will end up being oranges.

Jane: Jun 12 09 at 9:54 pm

Condoms and bananas. I think the color from the fruit would be great and I can honestly say that those are two things I can never find a home for.

Christopher Norfleet: Jun 13 09 at 9:33 pm

This bowl would look great in my grandma’s bathroom full of decorative soaps!!

Daniel: Jun 13 09 at 10:41 pm

Sometimes lemons, sometimes bananas, maybe balls of yarn or nothing. Looks great as is.

Jennifer Ryman: Jun 14 09 at 6:22 am

nothing. it is beautiful by itself.

priscilla: Jun 14 09 at 10:27 am

I just got these great glass blown balls, similar to the ones they out on the beach in Lincoln City and they would look pefect in this bowl!

Janis Allen: Jun 14 09 at 1:40 pm

It’s quite beautiful in itself to make a decorative center-piece,however, since I have to put something in it,I will keep my absolutely Black Round Glass Ball which I bought from Harrods, London, inside it. Red and black will look lovely together.

Abhilasha: Jun 16 09 at 6:10 pm

GREEN APPLES … or at least I would start there. I have a feeling I would change the contents daily. The second day I would probably fill it with a variety of bell peppers.

I enjoyed the look before, but the new look is great as well. The content is constantly amazing, fills my twitter entries.

Rebecca: Jun 17 09 at 4:38 pm

If I were tiny enough- I would put myself in that bowl;-) I absolutely love your web site!!!

Nic: Jun 19 09 at 10:38 am

Air. I would let the beauty of the bowl live on its own. Alone, without the help of anything.

I might throw in a few aluminum balls that I got on sale at Crate&Barrel a while back, but my first choice would definitely be air.

Kennard: Jul 14 09 at 4:39 pm

Pomegranates from the garden. Perfect for a mediterranean bowl and gorgeous in their own right.

Coral: Jan 13 11 at 10:57 pm

I would put some moss and a couple of blooming orchids!
