I am totally digging on the color pallet used in this renovation. I really like the whites and grays mixed with a punch of kelly green. Loving the Eames green La Fonda chairs with the black bases, just killer!
The plot is located by the sea, in a drained area of land (a polder), which is common in Belgium, and the view and the magical light had a strong effect on him. It did not take many seconds for his to decide, but he realized immediately that the house had to undergo a radical renovation.
Now, ten years later, there is hardly anything left of the original house. Soete and his buddy Steve Herzeel, architect, has managed the art of transforming the bungalow into a modern architectural gem. The house has a clever design with open spaces and lots of natural light.

ZD: Aug 30 11 at 2:22 pmwow, what is the flooring? I’m always looking for info on these seamless flooring systems.
Tyler: Aug 30 11 at 2:25 pmZD, could be painted concrete. In the fourth pic you can see some scratches in the floor.
steve: Sep 01 11 at 2:46 amthe original bungalo dates from the ‘70. The renovation shown in the article we did in 2000. Now already 11 years ago. We tried to make a timeless kind of contamporary look. It’s nice to see the people still see it that way.
btw: the floor is epoxy resin.
