I knew I had seen the Canon Residence before but when I recently stumbled upon it again I was pretty taken back. This is how I would revamp a mid century modern house. I wonder if the interior flooring is end cut, looks amazing. I love the open airy feel that is created by all the windows and open beams. What a complete drool fest. More after the jump. Everyone have a killer weekend!

Renovation and remodel of the Thompson Mosley house originally designed by Buff, Straub & Hensman in 1959. While the main structure and floor plan retains its essential integrity, a new “interior core” is inserted along the central spine of the house. This new hub is accentuated by natural materials which compliment the interior connections to the outdoor spaces defined by the pinwheel plan of the residence.

Hyperlexic: Aug 20 10 at 2:32 pmDo you know the name of the architect for the redesign?
Tyler: Aug 20 10 at 3:16 pmHope this helps:
The fourth owners bought it in 1985 and restored and updated the house with Conrad Buff and Don Hensman and designer Bob Moore in 1989.

Kirby Smith: Aug 23 10 at 5:39 pmJust wanted to add a quick correction that Buff & Hensman did do a restoration/update of the property in 1989, but this most recent one was an extensive remodel completed recently by Space International Architects. ( http://www.space-intl.com )
