This cardboard factory turned modern loft by Architect Bruno ERPICUM is an amazing resurrection of a structure most likely doomed. The modern feeling was accomplished in many ways but the one that stood out to me was the “white washing” of the walls and ceilings. The “white” lightens and opens up the interiors. The beauty comes from still being able to enjoy the textures of the past. The steel work in the furniture and hung on the wall as to mimic a painting is killer.
“The ancient Regent cardboard factory is gone; it leaves its empty spaces which dominate the interior of the urban island. Five lofts are created.”
“The constructive elements are whitewashed, and the furniture designed by the architect enriches the pure concrete floor.”
