This modern bunker style home definitely has a industrial feel but the wood furnishings provide a nice balance with the cinder block walls. Being located in São Paulo Brazil provides a tropical climate to allow an almost completely open house. I love the geometric tile mosaic on the front of the house. So I know we are all thinking it, what about the bugs?

Javier Chavira: Dec 26 12 at 10:09 amBefore I lived in the U.S. I grew up in Mexico, in a dry and arid climate, and our little modest house was open to the environment like this. Somehow you just get used to living with the little critters. Now of course when ever I go back, I find it hard to adjust to that way of living. Sad, I know. Now I am used to living in a sealed up house in Indiana. In the winter because it is frigid and in the summer because of the mosquitos.
