I am usually not a big fan of rattan furniture but the RSM I (Rattan Splice Mark I) stool form Harry Parr-Young may have just changed my mind. I really like the simplicity of the shape with the complexity of the weave. These would fit right in with any modern or mid century modern decor.
RSM I (Rattan Splice Mark I), addresses the conventional style of rattan furniture, re-creating the perceived association with its exotic and outdoor context, with the final outcome of creating a range of rattan furniture, that sits logically in the contemporary furniture market and domestic setting.
LRG rocking chair - Melounge studio by Marcin Laskowski
While researching rocking chairs for our soon to be June addition to our family, I came across the LRG rocking chair designed by Marcin Laskowski. I really like the wide stance and selection of materials. The idea of the being able change out or easily clean the cushion is great as well.
The armchair is constructed of shaped aluminum which is powder coated supported on rockers made of ply birch wood. The seat and back rest have been made in a form of removable upholstery and fixed with press studs, this enables upholstery to be changed and easily cleaned.

I am really liking the idea of having a light source integrated into a night stand, although I do have a certain problem with having and collection to many lamps, sort of a lamp hoarder I guess. I do like the chain pull and the overall design.
Named after the Norwegian slang for “good night”, Natta is a bedside table with an integrated light. The wall against which the light is placed acts as a reflector to create a soft light perfect for reading in a sleeping environment.
The Bike Valet by Reclamation Art + Furniture
I don’t ride bikes but if I did and was in need of a storage solution, this is a killer one. I have seen several of the wood block style but I really like the look of this piece, it has the “taste” of sculpture and art. This is currently a Kickstarter project where you can get in on ground level. Another not so happy note is that Steven Tiller, the mind behind Reclamation Art + Furniture was recently robbed and most of his shops tooling was stolen. Make sure to check it out.
India Mahdavi for Galerie Patrick Seguin
I have posted about the amazing work of Architecture and design firm, India Mahdavi once before but when I came across it again, I believe I missed something. This amazing exhibit is full of some killer furniture that we all want to own. To mention a few: Royère Jean, Jean Prouvé and Pierre Jeanneret. I love the steel barn like structure that all of the Jean Prouvé goodies are hanging out in.
Orange Chair by Lagomorph Design
In June we are expecting our third child. There was sort of gap between this one and the last, as a result we have gotten rid of all of our baby stuff. So of course you need a killer rocking chair for your nursery and the Orange chair by Lagomorph Design is such a nice design. This piece could easily be utilized in any room of the house.
