7125 Wildgrove by W2 Studio
I have posted about W2 Studio in the past but I recently came across their site again and yes, still amazing. W2 Studio has a stunning portfolio full of modern remodels, additions and complete redesigns. I am totally smitten with the Wildgrove home. I am really drawn to the architecture, it has a perfect nod to mid century and contemporary. The color pallet couldn’t get any better. White, wood and the darker bronze metal all work so well together. Make sure to check out the before photo.

Interiors & Architecture by Keiji Ashizawa Design
The minimal interiors and honest architecture is what first drew me to the design of Keiji Ashizawa. I really like the look of both his industrial styling and his modern aesthetic. Not only does Keiji Ashizawa take on interiors and architecture but he has some really nice products as well. I am pretty sure I need to live in the house in pic #2, that wall of glass with the countered and stacked rectangular cubes is stunning.

Modern interiors and architecture captured by Emma Cross
I don’t remember the last time I had seen a portfolio so full of fantastic imagery of modern interiors and architecture. Australian based Emma Cross has both seen and photographed some “I want to live here” private homes. There are a couple of converted churches that are pretty extreme, what a cool juxtaposition! These are just a few pictures from her portfolio, make sure to check out the rest.

A2D Architects
A2D Architects has a great collection of works, including a fantastic section of private homes. I have always been drawn to square geometric structures and there are some nice designs to be found here. I don’t know why but I am liking the red brick house, maybe it’s not common with modern architecture to use brick but it does resonate with me.

MÜLLER house by TIDY architects
NEW FAVORITE HOUSE! The setting for the MÜLLER house could not be any more perfect, located on the coast in the city Tunquén in Chile. The inspiration for the house - Pavilion of Mies Van der Rohe in Barcelona. I love the walls of greenish opal glass panels, the lighting of these panels at night is just plain killer. I think they did a fantastic job of capturing every view available.

HAUS AM HANG by MVRDV
Some day when I build my custom modern dream home, it will either be a rambler with a daylight basement or just a single level rambler. The HAUS AM HANG by MVRDV is the perfect single story home with not one lower level but two. I love how from the street, the house looks so unobtrusive. The wood vertical exterior is quite stunning as well. Now if I can just find that perfect lot to build on.
