Realtor Michael Locke
While trolling Flickr I came across the photos of Realtor Michael Locke. Michael is a Realtor focused on the Silver Lake, Los Feliz, Echo Park and other Eastside Los Angeles areas. I asked If I could share some of his imagery with my readers as he visited some stellar properties. Just to name a few: Richard Neutra, Pierre Koenig, John Lautner, Josef Van der Kar and Lloyd Wright. If any of you are in the market for a modern house in these areas make sure to look him up. All images are © Michael Locke.

Brendan Austin: Studio
The photographic work of Brendan Austin is not only beautiful but the cropping of shapes and colors really make these images artistic. Brendan has worked and lived in quite a few countries which has given Brendan the opportunity so see and capture some amazing spaces.

Bell Phillips Architects
While looking through the work of Bell Phillips Architects, there was one element that totally struck me. The modern staircase in the Grove Park project is simply amazing. “The stair is created from a complex geometry of folded triangular facets which appear to float effortlessly within the space.” The rest of their work is really nice too, check it out.

India Mahdavi for Galerie Patrick Seguin
I have posted about the amazing work of Architecture and design firm, India Mahdavi once before but when I came across it again, I believe I missed something. This amazing exhibit is full of some killer furniture that we all want to own. To mention a few: Royère Jean, Jean Prouvé and Pierre Jeanneret. I love the steel barn like structure that all of the Jean Prouvé goodies are hanging out in.

Kilian O’Sullivan Architectural Photography
Kilian O’Sullivan has a killer book full of amazing photography of modern interiors and exteriors. I love that he has a “Dusk” section where homes are shown right at dusk with the interior lights on, it makes for such a dramatic image.

House DS in Destelbergen by Graux & Baeyens
What I have gathered from projects like this, is that people really love them or they think that they’re some sort of abomination. I for one absolutely love the whole juxtaposition thing. The mate black structure siting against the old patina brick is a fantastic combination. Graux & Baeyens has some other very cool projects in their book, maybe my new favorite?
