Adrian Pearsall Residence for sale
This may be old news but it’s new to me, you can have Adrian Pearsall’s 9,792 sq. ft. home. There are some really cool design elements in this home, the one that stood out to me was the cantilevered fireplace hearth, very reminiscent of his furniture design. All of the cut outs in the ceiling really let a lot of light travel through out this open floor plan.
In 1962, at the height of mid-century furniture designer Adrian Pearsall’s career, Adrian created an Atomic Age masterpiece. He realized a dream by designing his family’s new home, nestled in the mountains north of the Lehigh Valley. Educated as an architect, he incorporated every available modern convenience into a 10,000-square-foot ranch.

Maison Glissade by AKB - Atelier Kastelic Buffey
What a fantastic setting for such a killer house. Maison Glissade by AKB is set on a narrow lot in a private ski club development in Collingwood, Ontario, Canada, a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional chalet. I love the black and wood facade against the snow, the home really stands out. The interiors are just as striking as the exterior, super clean and minimal with a open floor plan to make the narrow space feel larger.

Lawren Harris House by DMArchitects
I am completely in awe of the restoration, renovation and addition of this modern home by DMArchitects. The home is a 1931 heritage Art Deco-influenced house located in mid-town Toronto. I love the “formality” of the black and white exterior elements. Another material choice that caught my eye was the marble used in the bathroom, the horizontal veining in quite striking. Let’s not forget that stunning back yard, pool and all.

N.Y. LOFT- feeling in Vienna by Loebell Architects
I have always love the feel of an open space that a loft can provide. Located in Vienna Austria, the converted warehouse is home to a family of four. I liked seeing the owners interacting in the space, it really gives us a perspective of scale. The rooms are divided into “boxes” and defined through choice design elements.

La Fontaine Apartment by ESRAWE
ESRAWE has done a killer job with the interiors on the La Fontaine Apartment. Wait until you see the bathroom on this place, I might be scared to take a shower because it reminds of the glass elevator on Willy Wonka “UP and OUT”. Elevator aside, all of the marble in the bathroom is quite breath taking. The place feels so open and interactive, would be a fantastic place to live.

Modern interiors by Guilherme Torres
The interior work of Guilherme Torres has been seen all over the interweb but I don’t think I have posted any of these killer spaces yet. Instead of just choosing one, here are a few of my favorites. I really like the balance of sophisticated and pop art. The general color pallet is kept pretty mute mixed with some really nice punches of color utilizing art and furniture.
