Modern Landscapes - Terrain
Terrain has some beautiful modern gardens in their portfolio. A couple of their projects really caught my eye with the use of circles. I think it is more common to see right angles more so than a pattern of circles. See more landscapes after the jump.
DIY mini Japanese maple garden
In one of my posts last week I had mentioned that we had sold our home. One of my favorite features of this house is the red maple on the side of our house, it is so killer. Underneath this maple is a blanket of small maple trees that I haven’t the heart to rip up. I decided I needed to take a little of this house with me when we move out. See what I did with these small trees after the jump.
Modern Asian landscaping - AguaFina
Like most of us, with the weather getting warmer my mind has turned to the yard. For some reason I have really been geeking out about Asian inspired gardens. I really like how the simple sculpted nature of Asian design flows almost in harmony with modern landscaping. AguaFina has an amazing portfolio full of Asian inspire gardens, landscapes, ponds and water features. In one project they even create a tropical lagoon in some ones yard. More after the jump
Modern Zen Gardens - by Frantisek Staud
Spring has certainly sprung and I have been spending some time in the yard. I have several Maples trees in my yard both small and large, their variation in leaf shape have to make them my favorite element. This year I got our small pond up and running as well. All this time in the yard has got me thinking and dreaming. These photos of Japanese Zen Gardens by Frantisek Staud are so beautiful and exact. More after the jump.
Modern Landscaping - Falling Waters
Great modern landscapes by Falling Waters. I really like the geometric patterns made by plant selection and pavers. I also like the water features found through out most of their projects. Click “read more” for more pics.

In every project, all effort is put forth to be respectful to the landscape.
