Have I mentioned how much I love the work of Andrea Cochran? Oh, I guess I have, HERE and HERE. You can never get enough of a good thing. I have modern landscaping on my mind as I am still working through all the choices on my house. Today I was messing around with the concrete pad in the back yard. I know, another post on modern landscaping but I can’t help it. Lutsko Associates does an amazing job at creating environments that are simple but so full of detail. I love the look of the round grasses planted fairly close together, they sort of create a dimpled lawn. More after the jump.

We will also be starting the build of a new house next month and I am already thinking on how I want the yard to look. Modern landscaping - Hocker Design Group
For some reason Spring and Fall get me in the mood for landscaping. It may be that there is so much change in the plant life during this time that I can’t help but notice. Hocker Design Group has an amazing body of work. I do favor a very geometric and modern landscape filled with repetition and pattern. Hocker Design Group also does a very nice job at incorporating natural elements already on site. More after the jump.
Dune wall tiles from Urban Product (UP)
I was totally blown away when I laid eyes on these amazing wall tiles from Scottish émigré Stephen Lindsay. I would love to make a table top out of these with a piece of glass over the top. Maybe even a headboard. What about the front for a really large credenza? The ideas could go on forever. Wood, ceramic and concrete are materials currently on track for production.
