Cheap Modern DeskWe finally decided on a new rug for under the coffee table. I have always loved a cowhide rug mixed into a modern room. I had a hard time convincing my wife but she finally gave in. My 3 year old said “our cow needs a name” she decided it would be DAVE. Surprisingly it is very soft and my wife even said “it is gorgeous” It finally arrived, so here it is!

Elle: Sep 29 08 at 5:26 pmI think cowhide rugs and leather products make a lot of sense. We kill cows for food, and we should use skin for other purposes. Why should it go to waste? My aunt had a white and black rug. Her living room was modern and it looked really good. I never considered cowhide rugs for myself, but now even potterybarn has them.
