You are truely an inspiration to us all, especcially when trying to find a good deal on a modern classic. I myself am from Canada, so getting a good deal is sometimes hard to come by. I will in fact use your idea, although I sourced out the stands and I will be looking at around $170 CND but still thats not bad to have a pair of tight looking end tables!!!! chairfag, I left it square, the bit alone was $35. I had one of the basses powder coated a gloss white and I think I will bevel a new top for that one.

i cant tell from your shooting angle, but did you bevel the underside edge or just leave it square? i know its a difficult bevel and not many shops have a blade to do it right… nice idea though.

How did you attach the MDF to the base? Would small screws be stable enough to hold the table together through prolonged use?

Jim, at this point the only thing I would change is the tops. If I could find a good deal on a piece of round marble I would jump on it.

Nice Tables…but tell me…Why do they have to be temporary? So what if they’re fake? Just because they are not a known style doesn’t mean they’re not worthy. Great job with the tables!

It looks like Target isn’t far behind you, I was just in a Target store yesterday and saw a whole collection of these gems in assorted colors, though I’m sure they don’t have the same quality your table does-
