Shift Architecture didn’t build your typical teachers lounge. This geometric cut stone structure is a multipurpose pavilion for the academic staff and their guests. When I first saw the structure, I thought “thats my house!”. After reading a little bit more i learned of its purpose. I love that it has a monolithic feel but also teeters on the edge of modernism with all of its cut outs and glass walls. The frameless windows create a visual plane that lets the eyes run the entire line of the exterior. Never mind the faculty I want to move in right away.
