Cheap Modern DeskThe folded appearance of the Felt Stool by Lerival is a great play on a stool that at first glace looks unable to support the weight of a person. I think this is just plain brilliant and they look killer standing alone or in groups. I could see these being used in a modern home or a open public gathering area. Ya I want one or two, ok maybe three.
Felt Stool is comprised primarily of a sheet of felt, folded and riveted to simultaneously create structural volume and upholstery. In the spirit of origami, a series of folding patterns were developed, each starting with a single sheet of industrial felt. As the exploration evolved, the pattern was refined to efficiently use material and create a comfortable, saddle-shaped seat.
