Studio R has a great portfolio but the Killara House stood out to me. There isn’t a whole lot of detail about this project but it looks as though there was an addition to the back of the original house. The addition looks different enough but it also works so well with the existing structure. I am typically a straight line geometric guy but there are some great curves happening inside and out. The brick lower level not only opens to the outside, it opens the entire floor plan. The kitchen is amazing.

Did find a bit about the house in their news section
“Killara House No.3 explores two key ideas. The first is an attempt interlock the old and new fabric rather then make a distinct separation. The second key idea is a focus on carving out an interior space from a simple external form with an emphasis on bringing light deep into the centre of the plan.”
