Little Venice’s House by Andy Martin Architects is a fantastic project exploring smaller spaces defined by color and texture. The herringbone floors are one of my favorite elements in the house. The walnut divider ads a nice architecture element while bringing in the warmth of wood.
AMA have removed the existing details from doors and walls and reinstated the moulded ceilings and parquet flooring. New elements are made obvious by the use of colour or texture, and are designed more like interventions. Colour was critical in the project and is very descriptive of both Warren and Claire.
