This long modern barn was built in 2001 by Swiss-born architect Hans Klaentschi and his wife, Paula Klaentschi. The home was built as a house/studio but now it on the market in Berwick St. James, Wiltshire. I do like the contrast and texture of the unfinished plywood and the black and white walls. I don’t know if I could live with that much exposed ply but I do think a wall or two could add some visual interest. I love how, from the living room the ceilings go all the way to second floor creating an amazing open space.

What do you think about plywood? Would you use it on your walls?

I think plywood is a great option, i like to think of it at the new ‘exposed beams’

I think you would have a hard time reselling a home with exposed plywood in the US. My wife would also kill me.

  • Plastolux
