There may not be many of you out there that missed this but in case you did. There was a great write up on restoring your Herman Miller Fiberglass Chair. Great job Melissa and Adam. Make the jump to see the after pics.

The seat was totally bleached and flaking fiberglass. Here it looks like water had sat in the seat while the chairs led a neglected existence outside. Poor chairs!

I bought these chairs at a garage sale for $10 earlier this summer. They were shedding fiberglass, and painful to hold. The sun had bleached them and they had been sitting outside for who knows how long! We decided to give it a go to restore them, even though we had no clue what we were doing. I visited a website called chairfag.com, and learned how to wet sand, and restore fiberglass. I then polished the chrome legs with steel wool. The nylon glides and shock mounts are all original, and the chairs came out beautifully. I love the color.
