I have two bathrooms that desperately need new countertops. I have always been drawn to the modern yet industrial look of concrete. Nicole and Harold documented their production of concrete countertops. I think they did a fantastic job. More after the jump

thesweetlife247: Jul 06 09 at 11:25 pmI’ve made a several. They take a bit of time from completion to finish but I feel are worth it. I’ll be making a set for my home this Fall. I’ll send pictures if you allow it.

Dana Hunn: Oct 31 10 at 10:15 amNicole, I loved your countertop diary. I am trying to get my son to help me make counter tops for my small garage apt. My hook is that he is interesed in concrete for his kitchen, and if mine turn out ok then I can help him do his. We are both working on concrete backer board now.;( I really liked your built in sink drain. Was that a form you bought, or did you figure that out yourself? I am very interested in that feature. Your husband looks like my brother-in-law, and it appears like he is just as handy as Jamie. But he lives 600 miles away, so he’s no help to me. Your husband also did a good with the sink and stove cutouts. I like the way he did the seams in front of them also. They are BEAUTIFUL! I hope mine turn out as good. Thanks again for the pictures.
