I guess I am on a hotel kick right now. Austin Texas is home to Hotel San José. What they did here is completely amazing. I love the modern hominess (I know that’s not a word) Take a look at the pics, they speak for themselves. Although I am a little disappointed with their website. More pics and link after the jump.

Kelly: May 12 08 at 4:05 pmI began staying at the Hotel San Jose in 2001 and have been known to schedule my vacation trips to Austin around the Hotel’s availability. If I can’t get a room at the hotel (where most of the musicians stay, making demand quite high and availability quite low) during the Austin City Limits Music Festival, I simply won’t go to the festival. I love the hotel that much. I won’t visit Austin whatsoever unless I can stay at this hotel. It’s part of my overall Austin experience, as is Jo’s Coffee stand next door and El Sol y La Luna Restaurant three doors down.
From the landscape design to the linens, I worship this place. After my first stay, I called them to ask where they got EVERYTHING from the ashtrays (I ordered them from the hotel and they shipped them to me) to the pillows (Company Store). I modeled entire rooms in my home after the style of this hotel’s rooms. It’s nothing short of superb.
