This modern Chalet would be a great place to relax after a day on the mountain. I can’t read the details but the construction looks very interesting on this. There are some charts showing heating and cooling as well. Check out the technique they use on the concrete walls and the stair case inclosure is very cool.

Jem N' Tonic: Apr 17 09 at 1:37 pmI think, this is one of the coolest homes I have ever seen. I have been trying to figure out what kind of house to build and when or where I will build it. In the end I know I will use the particle board and plywood as my floors, walls, and ceiling. Can’t forget the floating fire place. That’s awesome!
JD: Apr 17 09 at 5:04 pmI need to know where this fireplace came from?
Tyler: Apr 17 09 at 5:20 pmJD, Your guess is as good as mine, I bet it doesn’t meet code in the states though.
Jem N' Tonic: Apr 18 09 at 7:55 pmJD, if you look up modern suspended fire places on google you can find quite a few different companies that sell something similar. The one that comes to mind off the top of my head is http://www.fireorb.net, and they are in the US. Hope that helps.
Jem N' Tonic: Apr 18 09 at 8:22 pmJD, you can do a google search for modern suspended fire places and a number of results will come up. One of my favorites is http://www.fireorb.net. Thing is, these aren’t the cheapest fireplaces though.
