JD, you can do a google search for modern suspended fire places and a number of results will come up. One of my favorites is http://www.fireorb.net. Thing is, these aren’t the cheapest fireplaces though.

JD, if you look up modern suspended fire places on google you can find quite a few different companies that sell something similar. The one that comes to mind off the top of my head is http://www.fireorb.net, and they are in the US. Hope that helps.

I think, this is one of the coolest homes I have ever seen. I have been trying to figure out what kind of house to build and when or where I will build it. In the end I know I will use the particle board and plywood as my floors, walls, and ceiling. Can’t forget the floating fire place. That’s awesome!
