There are so many things to like about the Stonington Residence modern renovation by Joeb Moore + Partners. The original house was designed during World War II (1945) by architect John Lincoln, former senior architect for the Navy at Quonset Point and professor of architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design. I love the sprawl of the house, it seems to nestle into the earth while surrounded by some amazing natural landscape. I can appreciate that the integrity of the home was respected and still looks mid century even thought there were some additions and modifications. The house looks so serene and peaceful….I want to be there.
