Super cool rugs by Laure Kasiers. I almost hate to call them rugs because they are so sculptural. I Could see these in a open loft like situation because I think they would need room to breath. OK so I like these a lot. More after the jump

Soft small islands disturb the gyres and modify the form of this carpet, each creating an interesting form of seat. The coloured strap emphasizes undulations and produces an iridescent surface.

The carpet is part of a collection made from trimming fringes which are rolled up and glued. The comfort they provide and their organic shapes suggest a sensual link with the object and approach the notion of infinity.

The “Meridien” carpet has a very simple shape. It presents a stark contrast of colours and materials between the vibrant strapping and the darker trimming. The thickness of the carpet ensures an extremely comfortable feel.
