This restoration of a 17th century house is a beautiful marriage of old world texture with new world furniture and art. The house was completed by renowned and highly respected architects Dow Jones for an art collector and gallerist. I have always been a huge fan of juxtaposition, the layers of old work so well with what is currently in the home. All parts of the house blend nicely. I think the kitchen even speaks the same language as the other spaces. The polished concrete floors echo throughout the house and move to the outside patio.
