Sometimes when you introduce a larger piece of furniture into a space it can throw of other pieces in the room. This was the case with our new sectional, we had a single sofa and went to a large L shaped sectional. As you can see in the first picture the small table behind the sofa all of sudden became small on out of place. Jump back to Tuesday with a “Method Behind” done with Seventeen20. When I first saw the work of Seventeen20 I was quickly obsessed with one of the finishes that they offered. The SCORCHED color and texture drew me in and I knew I had to have a piece but would it be a modern industrial bench or sofa table? We made the decision on the fact if we did a table our one year old would just knock everything over if we put anything on it. Our sectional was pretty low as well so we decided to go the bench route.
We decided to go with the SCORCHED bench adding one white powder coated leg……..We love how it turned out!
The texture is simply stunning, with all of the soft wood burned out, what is left over is an amazing texture of high and low ridges.
This bench is built like a tank, pretty much one year old proof.
