The Polk, An emotional look into a piece of Architecture that captures the light, atmosphere, and pays homage to the classic automotive design of a Rolls Royce. Architecture by Jonathan Segal, film by Jeff Durkin. Jeff recently sent me a link to this short film and I was instantly taken in. I have always been intrigued by concrete structures. Brutalism is the technical term used to describe concrete structures from the 70’s. This building is majestic with its juxtaposing materials, glass and concrete. It reminds me a series of pavilions stacked on top of each other. I enjoyed hearing the “why” as Jeff Durkin described the the project.
