If you have been following Plastolux you know that I am trying to develop some furniture mostly designed by myself or a collaboration with other design/builders. We have been in our new house for about a year and we are getting to know all of our neighbors. One of my neighbors, Ryan Hull is an officer that happens to weld on his days off, so what did I do?, I put him to work. With my design Ryan and I were able to put together the Through Side Table. Obviously Ryan is good at what he does, I think the table turned out amazing.
The Through Side Table is built with 12 gauge steel which has been bent, welded and finally powder coated. The top is made from a solid piece of my favorite wood, Walnut. There is one inch, inset lip on the bottom for a floating effect. The “through and through” design allows you to display your favorite design pieces without feeling like a heavy piece of furniture which is deceiving as it is a robust little table.
