I like the industrial feel of the Sidekick Stool by Timothy John for Thanks fashion house. The powder coated steel mixed with cork is pretty nice. The piece has a lighter feel, visually they would not take up a lot of space. I could see these used in a cafe or bar.
Reminiscent of an old school science beaker, the Sidekick stool base resembles a line drawing that captures that familiar form, lightness and transparency. While it occupies physical space it remains visually unimposing. As the contents of the beaker were traditionally contained with a cork stopper, a hand turned cork top completes the stool, following a powder coated steel base line resulting in a continuous, uninterrupted silhouette.
